CORONAVIRUS – A MESSAGE FROM ST LUKE’S AND ST THOMAS’
As our nation adapts to the drastic changes to our way of life and the anxiety and distress that coronavirus is causing, we want to assure everyone that our churches are here to support anyone who needs pastoral or spiritual care, now or in the weeks ahead.
We are not able to provide that support on a face to face basis because we all need to follow government directives about social distancing and self isolating, in the interests of our nation, our NHS and the most vulnerable. But we can still find ways of offering support though telephone calls, emails and social media, so please do reach out and send a message via the contact page on this website. We are here to love and serve at this painful time for our nation and whole world.
Sadly, public worship and other gatherings have stopped until further notice. And we can no longer keep our churches open for private prayer.
But we are live streaming worship, recording services for you to follow at any time, providing daily prayer opportunities and setting up virtual groups to bring people together when they have to stay physically apart. We will also increase our social media presence as we go forward so people will have a variety of opportunities to link into this church community. Everyone is welcome – believers or not, we are all part of the human family.
So please visit this website regularly. And if you would like us to pray for you or anyone you know, please contact us and we will do that.
With every blessing
Revd Liz Newman
